Island Treasure: CWC Fab Dessert (CamSur Watersports Complex Clubhouse)

Island Treasure
CWC Fab Dessert
CamSur Watersports Complex Clubhouse

The CamSur Watersports Complex  Clubhouse is one
of the best restaurants in Bicol  that serves  a wide variety of
world class cuisine. The  kids are wake-boarding enthusiasts
so we get to enjoy this awesome facility almost every weekend.

It is a place where some of the best
Bicol culinary treasures originate.

Lately, we discovered the CWC’S Island Treasure.

Made of creamy custard at the bottom layer.

…a frozen Brazo de Mercedes on the upper layer,

…topped with candied ‘langka’, ‘munggo’ and ‘macapuno’,

…lying in a bed of ‘halayang ube’,

…decorated with multicolored ‘nata de coco’

…and a cherry on the side.

It was Halo- halo in a platter, that could be eaten
without the mess. Island Treasure is an awesome
Pinoy fusion  cuisine and CWC culinary gem.

A dessert to die for.

CWC Clubhouse: Global Cuisine in Bicol

CWC Clubhouse
Global Cuisine in Bicol

CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC) Clubhouse is one
of my family’s favorite dining destinations in the province.

Being regular diners here have encouraged my children
to learn the various watersports activities in the resort,

…and not only got hooked to wakeboarding
but they also learned to love the food as well.

We always look forward dining at the clubhouse
after a grueling and exciting day at the wakepark.

My daughter loves their all day breakfast fares and
this time she ordered the Cheese Steak Omelet.
This divinely delicious dish comes as a huge slab of
perfectly fried egg omelet bathed with creamy cheese,

….generously stuffed with bite size beef
steak that  seem to burst to the seams.

The Philly Cheese Steak Sandwich that
my son ordered was just as delicious. It
came with a generous serving of French fries.

My wife initial ordered Fish and Chips, but they have
already taken the dish out from the menu. They offered
to try the Fish Fingers instead. It was a good suggestion
as it came as a huge serving of breaded fish fillet, fried to
crispy perfection while the fish remained tender and tasty.

I always order Wonton Noodle Soup whenever I’m here.
The soup stock tastes good, the noodles are firm and the
wonton is made of tasty and chunky bits and pieces of pork.

We ended our dinner by sharing
a huge serving of Banana Split.

CWC is an iconic wakeboarders’ paradise
and one of the most visited destinations by
mostly  foreign tourists in  the Philippines,

Awesome Feast at CWC Clubhouse Awesome CWC Series 3

Awesome Feast at CWC Clubhouse
Awesome CWC Series 3

Some Bicolano locales may not be aware
of the fact, that CWC, despite being a very
popular destination internationally, is also
one of the best dining destinations in Bicol.

I always look forward on dining at CWC
as they have a wide choice of delicious
entries in the Clubhouse menu.

On cold late afternoon at the boardwalk, nothing
can beat having  their noodle soup selections.
I particularly like their Chicken Noodle Soup
and their  tasty Wonton Noodle Soup
that I have always ordered in the past,

…but the waiter misheard my order that  he served
me a bowl of Beef Noodle Soup- but it was okay.
It was just as tasty but still, there is nothing better
than having a good old, piping, hot bowl of
Chicken Noodle soup on a cold and balmy afternoon.

CWC also served yummy and succulent
Dumplings and my personal favorites are
the chewy and tasty Pork Siomai

…and the very delicious Shrimp Dumplings,

One of our favorite dishes in CWC is the popular
Mexican delicacy, the Arroz a’la Cubana
that comes with a deliciously spiced rice,
sweetish ground pork, topped with fried egg
and served with  fried ripe bananas.

While I have glowingly raved  in my past blog about
Gerry’s Grill’s  reinvention of adobo thru their
delicious  Adobo Pork Ribs,- as our country’s  best bet
for this Iconic dish to be internationally recognized,

^^^Gerry's Grill's Adobo Pork Ribs,

…but CWC  beat them to that by just modifying
the Pork Adobo , sans the greasy subcutaneous fat,
hideous black oily sauce but retaining the original
classic sautéed soy sauce taste and
it was served over a bowl of white rice.

My young son’s meal is not complete without
a fish so we ordered Sinanglay na Tilapia for him.
What is unique with this sinanglay dish is that
the fish was fried before being cooked in “gata’
or coconut milk and the pre- frying added
an extra texture and chewiness on the  fish.

CWC Clubhouse is a great culinary destination
In this tremendously popular resort that every
tourist visiting CamSur and Bicol must try.

CamSur Watersports Complex (CWC), Reinvented: Awesome CWC Series 2

CamSur Watersports Complex
CWC, Reinvented
(Awesome Re- Invention)
Awesome CWC Series 2

Stay, Stray, Play Feast

The CamSur Watersports Complex’s main lake
opened its doors again after closing for two months
while undergoing  renovation or was it a
reinvention(?)  as what the CWC management  says.

The kids who are avid fans of CWC sorely missed
the best wake park in the world so when we learned
that it had a soft opening this August,
we  trooped back to the water park,

…and we had been regularly visiting the wakepark again
and we love what we see with the on- going re- invention.

The newly re- invented CWC had a more compact
newly laid brand new white sand on the beach.

This wide beach sets CWC apart from other wake parks
in the Philippines as it allows the guests to have more
space to play beach sports, exercise, have a leisurely walk
or just simply laze and sun bath for a perfect suntan.

The wide lake side beach is also a great place
where kids can frolic and play.

Another feature that sets CWC apart from other
wake board parks in the Philippines and in the World
is its various comfortable but affordable accommodation
from the luxurious hotel like the Mansion Suites,

…and the Bali inspired Villas at  the  Villa del Rey
that comes with its own private pool ,

…to beautiful wood cabins,

trailer park,

…comfy Cabanas,

…and the very, very affordable Tiki Huts.

The CWC Clubhouse and Restaurant also offers
delicious local and international cuisine so affordable
that wouldn’t hurt the guests’ budget.

CWC is an iconic wakeboard park that put the once
sleepy backward Camarines Sur Province to
the world map when it opened in the 2006 and became
the top tourist destination in the Philippines,

...and has been  popularly  being called CamSur
this time by the province’s mostly young and hip tourists.

It also jump started the wake boarding craze that
some provinces also built their own wakeboard park…

…including its sister wake park in Nuvali.

^^^Nuvali Wake Park

But nothing comes close to the original.

Aside from main lake, CWC is the only wakepark
in the  Philippines and probably in the world
that has a Winchpark

….that accommodates wakeboarding enthusiasts
from the newbies where they can learn the basics
of the sport  on the Beginner’s Lake,

…to  the professional  wake boarders looking for more
extreme adventure and more challenging  obstacles,

… on its various mini lakes equipped with obstacles
of different levels of difficulty where one could hurdle
a  higher degree  of adrenalin pumping challenges .

It also has the Lago del Rey the biggest man made lake
in the country where guests looking that are not
on extreme sports and looking for
more benign activities may leisurely swim,

…and indulge themselves on different
water sport activities.

It also has a Bike and Skateboard Park
that guests can use for free,

…and a beautiful infinity pool by the boardwalk
where guests can swim and laze around if they
just  want to relax and didn’t want to do anything.

One may even go bird watching
at the wake park.

And of course, the newly refurbished main lake
that now has higher towers  and cable lines,

….longer ropes that allow riders
to execute extreme stunts,

…new fiberglass obstacles,

…are the reasons why  the wake boarders from
