Aruga by Rockwell: Affordable Luxury

Aruga by Rockwell
Affordable Luxury

Our flight from Naga to Manila was cancelled because
of typhoon Ompong, so we took a day trip by bus and
arrived in Aruga at past ten- o’ clock in the evening.

Aruga by Rockwell is a serviced apartment
located at the Rockwell Center in Makati, and
it was my family’s  first time to stay in this hotel.

Check in and it was a breeze, and the people
at the front desk were courteous and friendly.

Aruga’s lobby was of modern
contemporary Asian design,

…it was rather small but was neat and tidy.

There was a computer at the nook that serves as a small
business  center and could be used by guests for free.

We were starving so we decided to
have  dinner first at the Aruga Café.

The restaurant about to close, still they gladly
accommodated us as their last costumers.

We proceeded to our room at the 6th floor immediately after dinner.

Stay

One Bedroom Premier

It was an One Bedroom Premier and this would be our
home in Manila for the next three days to the escape the
chaos of the Penafrancia festival in  Naga City and also to
visit my daughter who was having her internship in Manila.

This is the first time that he stayed in Aruga and although the room
was beautiful, I find the apartment to be rather small and cramped.

It has beautiful living room with modern Asian contempoary design
and was executed in pleasing, natural earth  tones. There was a
huge, comfortable sofa which could function as an extra bed.

There is a huge flat screen TV,
with superb audio/video systems.

There is a glass topped round table that
also  serves as a dining area,

as a minibar,

…and a vanity area as well as they mounted the
only vanity mirror in the room right beside it.

The kitchen was  fully equipped,

…had large refrigerator,

… a coffee maker,

…a four burner cooking range with oven,

a bread toaster,

 …and microwave oven.

The room was  provided with complete
cooking, and dining utensils.

…including a washing machine and  dryer.

The bedroom was also very  beautiful and just like
the living room,  is it  of Asian contemporary design

 It had king size bed,

… a large working and reading  table

…huge wide- screen LCD flat TV
with top notch audio/video systems.

There was a spacious closet that had extra blankets and pillows,
electronic safe, clothes ironing and pressing equipment, and
various accessories to make the guests stay more comfortable.

There is only one toilet and bath, with nice shower room,
but unfortunately, no bath tub.

It was provided with plush amenities, and adequate toiletries.

The room had two landline phones-
the first one in the living room,

…the second on at the bedside,

Both the living and the bedrooms have panoramic
windows and balconies with the view of Pasig River ,

…and the booming Ortigas Center.

We were very happy with the very fast
and complimentary Wi Fi connection.

Stray

Aruga is located right at the Rockwell Center
and has a direct access to the Power Plant Mall.

…it was perfect as the access leads
us directly to Marks and Spencer,

…my family’s favorite clothing and apparel store.

Play

Aruga by Rockwell had a
resort- like swimming pool,

…and a well equipped gym,

....and fabulous spa.

Feast

Aruga Café by Mesculin

Aruga Café by Mesculin at the lobby
is the hotel’ s main  in- house restaurant ,

…as a decent spread of local

…and international  dishes on their menu.

Its access the Power Plant Mall,

…provides the guests a wide variety,

…of some of the best restaurants in Manila.
