Long Life Panciteria: Tuguegarao’s Best Pancit Batil Patong

Long Life Panciteria
Tuguegarao’s Best Pancit Batil Patong
Tuguegarao, Cagayan Series 6

We had our first taste of Pancit Batil Patong,
Tuguegarao’s signature dish at Pulzar Hotel.

We all loved Pulzar’s version of this
popular dish that was topped with generous
amount of beef, bean sprouts, veggies,
mushrooms and egg- fried sunny side up.

It came with a side dish of flavorsome
soup that tasted like a Chinese crab soup,

several kalamansi, and a concoction of
soy sauce and onions which we never really
used as the pancit was already very tasty.

Though we found the Pulzar’s version yummy,
we knew it was a toned down hotel version.
We still wanted to try the traditional
panciteria dish,
and we were referred tLong Life Panciteria.

Our rented van took us to this popular panciteria
that was located in a convoluted maze of  minor
city roads to some secluded and narrow ‘eskinitas’.

Long Life Panciteria is located in a tumbledown
house in an out-of-the-way location in the city.

The kids stared at us with “Are we dining here?”
expressions of disbelief when they saw the restaurant.

I assured them that the Pancit Batil Patong here
must be very good since even it is isolated from the
city center, a lot of people still come here for the pancit.

And on the counter, they had several bold signages
saying that they have no other branches in Tuguegarao
making this panciteria a must visit restaurant in the city.

They were also kind enough to let me observe
and took photos on how they cook the noodles.

Which was topped with almost everything on it,

…finally topped with pig’s liver,

…and served piping hot on the table.

With  condiments on the side which we weren't
able to utilize as the pancit was already very tasty..

The Long Life Panciteria tasted divine, and  I could
confidently say, despite the fact that  I was not able to
try other  panciterias versions in the city  this must be
 Tuguegarao’s Best Pancit Batil Patong

Just like in Pulzar, it was also served
with a soup, which I found to be less
tastier than the hotel seafood- like soup.

Everyone of us gobbled the Pancit Batil Patong
up the last morsel of this super delicious pancit,

…my very young  son however settled for cookies,

...but it’s understandable, I believe he is too young
to appreciate this deliciously composite  dish.

Watch out for my other
