Bratanella’s Creamy Custard Cupcake 

 I received varied cakes and pastries as gifts this Christmas,

and the one that really caught my attention and my taste buds

was a box with a half a dozen of custard topped cup cakes.  

 

It was made by Bratanella Patisserie.

The cupcake looked really good
and so soft and fragile to touch.

 

It had a sinfully delicious melt in the mouth buttery taste

delightfully intermingling with the sweet, creamy custard

which I initially thought was just a topping on the icing,

 

…but to my surprise, it went all the way down inside the cake

making a delicious and gloriously addicting saccharine filling.

by Bratanella is a dessert to die for.

As an Endocrinologist, this is a nightmare for my sugar deprived 
diabetic patients but this Bratanella Creamy Custard Cupcake 
 is worth breaking the doctor's order (at least) once in a while

Discovery Suites had a small lobby with hardly any seats

for guests while waiting for their rooms to be available. 

 
  

It had a tall cavernous atrium,

 

…that reminded me of Holiday Inn Disney Springs that had a similar atrium-
 but more well lighted and had an outdoor feel as it was decorated with lots of
 multi- colored paper kites made to appear like they were flying up in the air.

Fortunately check in was a breeze, and we were happy to

learn that our room was already available 6 hours ahead

and we were allowed for an early check in at no extra cost.

The people at the front desk were friendly,

..and we were immediately on our

way to our room at the 6^th floor.

 

This would be our home for the next five days

while my wife was attending a convention.

 

Stay

Our suite was very a spacious and beautiful  One Bedroom Suite,

would make guests feel comfortable like living in their own homes. 

 
  
  

The large living room was executed

in modern contemporary interiors, 

…with a comfortable sofa where one

can relax  and hole in while reading 

 

…or watching  on the large flat screen LCD TV.

There was also beautiful dining room,

 

…and a fully equipped kitchen,

 

…large refrigerator,

 

…upscale cooking range with oven,

 

…and an additional microwave oven.

 

The room was  provided with complete cooking,

…and dining utensils.

They  had kettle for a coffee maker at the minibar.

The bedroom was also very beautiful and

it is also of modern contemporary design. 

 

It had king size bed,

 

… a large working and reading  table 

 

…huge wide- screen LCD flat TV

with top notch audio/video systems.

There was a spacious walk in closet,

 

…large wall mounted closets,  that had the electronic safe,
clothes ironing and pressing equipment, and other home
accessories  to make the guests stay more comfortable.

There was only one toilet and bath

provided with plush amenities,

…adequate toiletries,

 

 

…had a nice shower room,

 

…and a bathtub.

The room had three landline phones-  

the first one in the living room,

…the second on at the bedside,

 

…and the third one on the bathroom.

Both the living and the bedrooms have panoramic floor to
 ceiling windows with the view of the Podium mall in front..

 

We were very happy with the very fast

and complimentary Wi Fi connection.

Discovery Suites is located in the Heart of Ortigas Center,

and right in front is the newly renovated  upscale Podium,

…and  walking distance to some of the biggest malls in the Philippines
 like the SM Mega Mall, Shangri La Plaza Mall and Robinsons’ Galleria,

awesome  indoor swimming pool,

 

…and a well equipped hotel gym.

The hotel’s breakfast buffet is served at the Restaurant 5,

 

…the hotel’s in house restaurant named

after the floor that it is located- 5^th floor.

 

Restaurant 5 also serves delicious

dishes a’ la carte all day long.

22 Prime

The hotel’s 22^nd floor is a steakhouse

named, you guessed it right- 22 Prime.

22 Prime is a awesome steakhouse that

serves some of the juiciest and probably

the tastiest prime steaks in the country.

 

 

Aside from the delicious steaks, it also a wide variety

of local and international dishes a’ la carte all day long.

Discovery Suites is an affordable yet very luxurious

hotel in the heart of Ortigas Central Business District.

The One Bedroom Suite was spacious,

 …well designed and has everything on it,

…to make your stay comfortable.

It has a five star facility at a three star tariff.

One of the best value for money hotels in  the Philippines.
