Geewan Naga Centro
Fast and Affordable Native Bicolano Dishes
When one is looking for affordable Bicolano Dishes
and does not have the luxury of time to wait for their
food being cooked in a regular restaurant, and didn’t
want to take risk of eating in an unhygienic street-
side carenderia, then Geewan is the place to go.
It offers Bicolano dishes in carenderia style in a
hygienic fast food set up, and in a hip and beautiful fine
dining restaurant ambiance at a budget friendly price.
I cannot count the number of times that we dined
in this restaurant and since they have a wide range of
dishes on display of their class encased counter, so
there is always a reason for us to return in this restaurant.
This time, we started our dinner with their delicious
Sinigang na Sugpo, that had a perfect degree of
sourness, just enough to perk up one’s appetite.
My’s son’s favorite dish her is the Sweet and Sour Fish,
which comes in a huge slab of tuna, initially fried then
bathed in an ideal mélange of savory sweet and sour sauce.
My family never really like salty food and this blog
has been very critical with salty dishes but we all liked
the Binagoongang Lechon. Geewan had perfected the
art of putting just the right amount of bagoong to the
lechon and comes our with a delightfully briny dish.
They also served one of the best tasting Pinoy Bistek
in the city that comes with a tasty sauce interspersed
with soft, chewy and flavorful stir fried white onion.
One should also never miss the all time favorite
and iconic Pinagat, that comes with a tasty filling
of chopped young coconut meat and fresh crablets.
We ended our meal with
Chicken Macaroni Salad,
…and we only spent a little over 300 pesos
for this delicious and satisfying dinner.
