Pancake House
Solenad, Nuvali
After a half day wakeboarding
at the Nuvali's Republic wake park
we were hungry and raring
The Solenad in Nuvali offers
diverse dining options
.and we were happy to see
that there was a Pancake House
at the said commercial center.
Pancake House is my family’s
favorite restaurant and always make it a point
to dine there whenever we are in Manila
as they still have no branch in Bicol.
My daughter had Ham and Cheese Omelet
and one would never goes wrong
in ordering any breakfast meals from Pancake House.
as breakfasts are their specialty.
My wife ordered a Bangus Belly
and just like any Pancake dish
I ordered a medium rare Rib Eye Steak
but I was disappointed
as it turned out to be dry and rubbery.
I always order this dish every time

we are in Pancake House Restaurants
but in this Nuvali branch version
turned out to be shoddy.
…and the worst was that they served
a smelly Salmon Fillet to my son.
We immediately detected that foul smell
after they served the food
but we didn’t know where it was coming from
and unfortunately found out
only after he swallowed spoon full.
We returned the smelly fish
and we settled for Classic Pancakes
which was yummy as it was their forte anyway.
Despite the bad experience-
it would not stop up from dining is Pancake House
as my family loves this restaurant
and the Salmon fillet happened to be
our favorite Pancake House dish.

We will just have to be careful
and thoroughly smell the food
before eating next time.
