Beautiful, Affordable Home in Lisbon
(Lovely Lisbon Series)
We arrived late in the afternoon in Lisbon, Portugal
after a short 2 - hour flight from Paris, France-
…and took a taxi to Radisson Blu Lisbon.
Radisson Blu Lisbon had a
spacious, contemporary designed lobby,
...that had a small souvenir shop,
and a buisiness center where guests could
use the computer and print documents for free.
Check in was a breeze,
…the people at the front desk were friendly,
...and we were immediately on our
way to our room at the 5th floor.
This would be our home in Lisbon for the next seven days
for the second stop of our European spring vacation.
Stay
Our suite, a De Luxe Family Room was
very spacious and was very beautiful.
It had two nice and comfy twin beds,
enough for a family of four to fit in.
It had a nice window side dining and seating area,
…that had a view of the busy highway.
…in it were drinking glasses and an Ice Bucket,
that could be filled up from the nearby ice machine.
There is also a separate seating area
that serves as a mini living room,
…a working and reading desk,
that holds the huge flat screen TV,
…the minibar,
…and the well stocked refrigerator.
Another smaller reading and working
desk is located by the seating area,
…and the spacious closet,
…that had extra blankets and pillows,
…and the electronic safe.
It also had a vanity area,
...nd a clothes pressing equipment.
It had a beautiful and luxurious
toilet, with twin lavatoris
and twin water closets,
…an awesome bathtub that
also serves as the shower area.
It was provided with plush amenities,
and top of the line toiletries.
A huge room had only two landline phones-
one at the bedside and another one in the toilet.
We were very happy with the very fast
and complimentary Wi Fi connection.
Stray
Radisson Blu Lisbon is located in the Campo Grande
district and just 15 minutes from the Lisbon city center,
…that could be accessed at the
nearby Campo Grande Metro Station,
located few steps away from the hotel.
…and walking distance to the Football Stadium Alvalade XXI
that made the hotel grounds a temporary culinary destination for
awesome hotdogs and burgers during one of the major games.

Unfortunately Radisson Blu Lisbon,
aside from the gym, the hotel does have
a swimming pool and other leisure facility.
But the awesome room and the hotel’s perfect
location compensates for this minor deficiency.

Restaurant Bordalo Pinheiro
They call it Super Breakfast Buffet,
and indeed it was super.
They had an awesome choices of European
and Continental breakfast spread in the buffet,
…at the beautiful Restaurant Bordalo Pinheiro,
....located at the ground floor of the hotel.
Breakfast To Go
Since the restaurant opens at 6 AM for the buffet breakfast,
there is a free breakfast to go at the lobby fot the early risers.
This is an awesome service as even those that
did not include breakfast in their booking could
partake of this pre- breakfast buffet free service.
Malhoa Cocktail Bar
The Malhoa Cocktail Bar is open all day,
offers a relaxed atmosphere for enjoying a
drink or two with colleagues and loved ones.

It is located in the Campo Grande district
and just 15 minutes from the Lisbon city
center,thru Campo Grande Metro Station,
located few steps away from the hotel.
It is located four kilometers from Lisbon Portela Airport ,
and just a few minutes away from the very modern
Gare do Oriente, or the Lisbon Oriente Station, one
of the main intermodal transport hubs that connects
Lisbon either by bus or train to other European countries.
