Kindermuseum MachtMit, Berlin

Kindermuseum MachtMit
Senefelderstr. 5, 10437 Berlin, Germany
Play and Feast

Play

I asked the hotel front desk for directions to the Museum
and  instructed us to get off  a certain train station.

It was the wrong one.

Because of the wrong stop,
it took us very long to find the Children’s Museum
as almost everyone we asked for directions
does not know what it was or where it is.

After walking in the rain for several blocks
asking for directions from some locales-
no one seem to know the place…

I finally found someone in a convenience store
who instructed us to take a tram and hop out after two stops.

I checked on the Lonely Planet Guide’s map
and I finally got the location.

The museum is located in a residential neighborhood
on a renovated former Elias (Evangelical) Church .

It has two floors and it is in
the former church tower, where the exhibitions are located.

Berlin's Museum for Children
 is a unique museum.

It is a place where kids
can discover
and try new things,

…learn through play,

…enjoy arts and crafts activities

…or get lost in
the vertical labyrinth.

The good thing is that even adults like me
can join the kids  in this maze
and have a good time bonding with them

Feast
 The Museum Café

The Museum Cafe offers
yummy snacks,

... good coffee and drinks,

…that we and the  kids would enjoy
after a busy, but fun filled day.

After getting lost for several hours
braving the rain, and the chilly autumn weather…

All the effort in finding the museum
was, well-  worth it.

We didn't mind getting lost
on the museum's giant maze though.
