Del Sol Inn: Disney’s Friendly Next Door Neighbor (Anaheim, Theme Park City Series 1)

Del Sol Inn Anaheim
Disney’s Friendly Next Door Neighbor
(Anaheim, Theme Park City Series 1)

We arrived late at night in Anaheim after a less than an
hour flight from Naga City and a really long nine- hour lay
over in Manila which we spent at the beautiful Midas Hotel,

...and a long haul PAL flight from Manila to LA,

…and about an hour drive from
LAX to Del Sol Inn in Anaheim.

We were all tired an weary,

…and luckily, check- in was a breeze,
and our reserved room was ready,

...took a quick dinner at the nearby Denny's,

…and we all headed
for a good night sleep.

It was only in the morning that we got
to have a close look of  del Sol Inn,

…our home for the next four days in Anaheim for our visit
to Disneyland, Knott’s Berry Farm and Legoland
in this three city vacation in California and Nevada.

I cannot remember how many times I have been to
Anaheim Disneyland but the last time we were here
was two years ago and we stayed in Disneyland Hotel.

Disneyland Hotel was a beautiful and we tremendously
enjoyed our stay there but it was pretty expensive,

...so this time we decided to stay in budget friendly non-
Disney owned hotel, but located close to the theme park,
so we booked here at Del Sol Inn, located right across
Disneyland and Disney’s California Adventure Park.

Del Sol Inn had a simple but airy and tidy lobby,

…manned by friendly people on the front desk,

…and had a tour desk that is a lot of help for tourists looking
information about Orange County and of the nearby suburbs.

Stay

We stayed on one of their De Luxe Rooms with two queen
sized beds, enough for a family of four to fit in comfortably.

The room was very spacious and the
kids had a lot of space to move around.

It had a comfortable seating area,

...a huge flat screen TV,

…a nice vanity area which functions as a vanity
area a working and reading desk.

…and spacious closet.and an in- room lavatory
that serves as the second vanity area.

the minibar has a high end coffee maker,
and a microwave oven,

…and a fairly large but empty refrigerator.

It had a comfortable toilet,

…provided with basic amenities,
and sufficient toiletries.

Just like the Disney owned hotels, it had
intricately  folded towels and towelettes,

... that amused the kids,

The door opens directly to the corridor,

...that had a view of the swimming pool,

...and of the courtyard parking space.

The room is provided with only one
land line phone one on the bedroom,

It also had a very fast
but free Wi Fi connection.

Stray

The hotel had a hard-to-beat location  as the Del Sol Inn
puts the guests close to all of Anaheim's  attractions.

It is just across on the same street as Disneyland,
and the hotel is minutes away from the front gate.

Other Disney properties are within walking distance,

Play

Del Sol Inn had a beautiful outdoor heated pool,

…and whirlpool,

…which we did not have time to enjoy as the kids could not resist
the temptation of Disneyland just across the street and the
autumn weather had dropped to less than 4 to 10 degrees
centigrade making it too chilly and not ideal for swimming..

Feast

Breakfast Buffet

Del Sol Inn offers a continental breakfast buffet,
that had a decent spread of various  freshly baked
breads, and yummy irresistible bagels and donuts.

There is nothing fancy on the breakfast,
but is was fresh, hot, good and satisfying.

One main reason why we booked in this hotel
is its proximity to Denny’s Restaurant that would
assure us of full hearty meals 24- hours a day.

It is also located near Tony Roma’s,

…the IHOP Restaurant,

...and even Captain Kidd's Buffet.
