Recipe Sharing; Breads, Veggies and Fish on (Good) Friday

Recipe Sharing
Grand Good Friday Feast

Who needs to fast on a hot, humid
and a lazy Good Friday?


One could still feast during the Holy Week
like the what everybody does on a
Fat Teusday,  but with Lent friendly recipes
sans the Mardi Gras ambiance.


Instant Appetizers

1. Tasty Breads

Some would be surprised that our secret
for having Tasty Bread comes from
instant McCormick Bread Spreads.


Prepare both with White and Whole Wheat breads
and have the toaster ready for these yummy treats.


 

2. No Sweat Onion Rings

Yes- it’s instant.
 and available in Naga City at  
SM and Robinson’s Supermarkets.



Simple deep frying will give
you these great tasting  crunchy delights.


Green Starters

1. Creamy Vegetable Salad.

Prepare all the ingredients.



Cleanse veggies with a vegetable sanitizer
This step is very important as they would be eaten raw.




Drain and cut to bite sizes.



Prepare the dressing by mixing the Mayo,
hard boiled eggs, mushrooms condiments and herbs.






Toss the veggies with the dressing


Refrigerate and serve cold.

Main Menu

1. Mini Potatoes in Pili Pesto.

Boil the mini potatoes until cooked


 

and  mix with Pili Pesto
(the Pili pesto is available at Clementine’s)

 
 

2. Grilled Herbed Dory

Prepare the Fillet Fish (Dory)
 and other ingredients

 


Prepare the marinade-
marinate the Dory for 30 minutes




Prepare for grilling



Grill  marinated fish until cooked



Serve the Grilled Dory
fresh from the grill


3. Honeyed Baked Dory
with Button Mushrooms

Prepare the Fillet Fish (Dory)
 and other ingredients




Prepare the marinade-
marinate the Dory for 30 minutes


 




Bake on Microwave High
for 10 to 15 minutes.



Serve hot.
