We have stayed in Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites

about eight years ago and it was then known as

the Oakwood Premiere, Joy~Nostalg, Manila.

 

We were on a transit stop in Manila,

…it was my pre- blogging days and we were totally awed

by one of the most luxurious hotels that we have been to.

We returned after almost a decade, now known

as  Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila, and

owned by Accor Hotel, not by Oakwood anymore.

Stay

We arrived late in the afternoon in

Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila,

after a short flight form Naga City.  

Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila, had

a  modern, contemporary designed lobby,

Check in was a breeze,

 

…the people at the front desk were friendly,

..and we were immediately on our

way to our room at the 9^th floor.

 

This would be our home in Manila for the next two days

as we apply for a Chinese visa for our upcoming vacation.

Our suite, a One Bedroom Deluxe was

very spacious and was very beautiful.

At 925 sq ft., the suite room would make guests feel

comfortable like living similar in their own homes. 

 

 

The large living room was executed in natural earth tones,

with comfortable sofa which could function as an extra bed,

 

…and a cozy lounge sofa where one can relax

and get comfy while reading or watching TV.

 

There is a huge working and study table,

 

…provided with varied electrical outlets that

would fit any gadget coming from any country.

 

There is a huge flat screen TV,

 

…with superb audio/video systems.

 

There was also beautiful dining area,

 

…and a fully equipped kitchen,

 

…with large refrigerator,

 

…upscale cooking range and oven,

 

…bread toaster and microwave oven.

 
  

The room was  provided 
with  complete cooking,

…baking,

 

 

...and dining utensils.

 

…including a dishwasher,

…and a washing machine

and clothes dryer.

They  had a high end coffee maker at the minibar.

The bedroom was also very spacious

and just like the living room, it bespeaks

understated luxury and timeless elegance.

It had huge king size bed,

 

…and a cozy lounge sofa similar to the one

in the living room, where one can also relax

and get comfy while reading or watching TV.

It also had a large working and reading

table that double up as a vanity desk.

 

Just like the living room it also had

a huge wide- screen LCD flat TV

with top notch audio/video systems.

 

There was spacious walk in closet,  that had extra blankets 
and pillows, electronic safe, clothes ironing and pressing 
equipment, and accessories to make one's stay comfortable.

The room had a uniquely designed,

see- through luxurious bathroom .

 

… with gorgeous bathtub

and its own flat screen TV,

…rain shower and in-shower steam room. 

It was provided with plush amenities,

…and adequate toiletries.

A huge room had three landline phones-  

the first one at study in the living room,

…the second on at the bedside,

 

…and another one in the toilet.

 

Both the living and the bedrooms have floor to 
ceiling panoramic windows with the view of the 
Asian Development Bank (ADB) across the street.

We were very happy with the very fast

and complimentary Wi Fi connection.

Stray

Joy~Nostalg Hotel & Suites Manila is located in the  
 Heart of Ortigas Center,just across ADB headquarters,

…and  walking distance to some of the biggest

malls in the Philippines like the SM Mega Mall,

Shangri La Plaza Mall and the newly renovated

upscale Podium is located just across the road,

Joy~Nostalg Hotel had a fabulous

temperature controlled indoor swimming pool,

 

...a jacuzzi.

 

They also provide high tech lockers that could
be activated with a waterproof digital bracelets.

 

 

 They also have a well equipped gym
located right above the indoor pool area. 

 

Feast

The Nostalgia Dining Lounge

The beautiful Nostalgia Dining Lounge at 6th floor,

 

...makes you step back in time and amidst a backdrop

of contemporary classic elegance of the bygone days.

My family dined at the Bohemian Paris room,

one of the three themed private function rooms.

It comes with striking visuals and accessories with

vibrant color palette that’s set in dainty French motif. 

 

The ambiance of classic design and artwork,

nostalgic music are complimented with good

food at the buffet and very friendly service.

 affordable yet well-appointed and luxurious accommodation.
